Background to Girasol Spain Girasol Spain (Arcos) has been a fully authorized, government-approved Centre for drug rehabilitation for the last 23 years, and now forms part of the Regional Government’s welfare support system. Treatment is in the hands of a team of professionals with material experience in the field of drug dependency including: doctors, psychologists and university-qualified educationalists. As a rehabilitation centre, Girasol Spain has achieved a high level of recognition with consistent success in the treatment of drug addicts using a specially designed methodology. It has been a member of important Regional, National and International drug rehabilitation consultative bodies and acts as the treasurer of the Federacion Provincial Renovacion which is part of the Andalusian Federation Enlace and associates of UNAD.
