About Girasol Spain Girasol Spain (Arcos) www.girasolfundacion.es, was established in 1984 as a non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to the detoxification and rehabilitation of drug-dependent males over the age of 18. Girasol Spain’s rehabilitation and education programmes have been very successful and Girasol Spain is now part of the regional welfare support system in Andalucía and its training forms part of the curriculum in a number of Spanish universities.
